Sunburst Dahlia

Whenever I leave the gloom of grey Seattle, I tend to take pictures of things that require sunlight to thrive. This time, I found a combination of colors in Montana that looked as though they were meant for one another. The rusting copper-colored birdbath mirrors the dramatic orange hues of this enormous dahlia, in all the shades of a summer sunset.
